Optimist, Pessimist, Tree Hugger or Outboard Motor?

Workshop length: 90 minutes
Optimism is not waking up every morning and thinking life is fantastic regardless of your circumstances. That's tree hugging, which involves trying to live at a permanent fifteen on life's scale of one-to-ten.
Neither is it expecting everything to go wrong so not bothering in the first place. That is being an outboard motor, which involves permanently living at minus one on our scale.
Optimist, Pessimist, Tree Hugger or Outboard Motor? explores the possibility that optimism could be a learned skill and, if so, how to become a self-taught optimist.
